      Franklin's Tower

It's rained every day for the past week, and the forcast calls for rain every day for the next week. The only beautiful day for this entire two week period was yesterday. Go figure.

It took a bit of trial and error to find a source of power, but other than that everything went pretty smoothly. The PA was set up well, the performance blend was good, and the crowd was great. A number of people came up to us to tell us how much they enjoyed the show, we got a couple of enquiry's about playing private parties, quite a few people picked up business cards and left a tip, and today we had a couple of emails via the web site from people we didn't know, with favorable comments. And just to ice the cake, I'm pretty sure this was the only time the management ever actually told us to turn up the volume.

Despite all this, after the show I was cranky and out of sorts because I felt like my performance pretty much sucked. I would really like to be able to blame the weather, or the PA, or my equipment, or somebody else's playing, or pretty much anybody or anything, but I can't. It was just one of those nights when I couldn't catch a flow to save my life. Oh well.

Barb took some photo's and I've posted them.

Bob left for Italy today. When he get's back we'll have to see about scheduling some rehearsal time with the bass player who's going to be setting in for the wedding gig in July.

      Stay tuned,

Rick
